James Whittaker Single Image Winner pattern/abstract

Whilst leaving a darts bar with two close friends, Connor noted that the light display on the entrance’s stairs (which I hadn’t paid attention to in my inebriated state) would make a good picture, and Angus offered to walk down them. He descended without any direction from me, I took two frames and we separated ways. As such, I actually feel that I contributed little to this photograph; instead, it was my friends’ combined perceptiveness and suavity which made it. On the topic of friends, a lovely byproduct of practicing photography is the collection of images that I’ve created of those that I am close to.
