Joona Niskanen

Of the many photographs I have taken, “The Waiters” remains one of my favorites. At the moment of exposure, I knew that I had captured something unique—I felt like I was looking into the heart of something mysterious and profound. While the content is fairly simple, something about the figures, the setting and the atmosphere touched me on a deep emotional level. One can keep coming back to this image and find more stories within. It’s multi-dimensional in the sense of crossing boundaries between space and time, offering the viewer opportunities for observation and self-reflection.
